Came across a magnificent lume shot of a Rolex Sea-Dweller on the Monochrome website.

A lume shot is a photo that shows how the luminous material used on hands and markers, while it is luminescent. Luminous material, often super luminova is used for making it possible to read the time during dim light. Most dive watches, like the Rolex Sea-Dweller have quite strong luminescent material.

Just been doing a bit of research, and noticed this watch is not a Deepsea, but the old Seadweller. due to the fact it has a green lume and not blue, and the depth is only 1220m and not the 3900m on the Deepsea. sorry for the miss information...
Still a nice though !.

Oh well, I assume that means it didn't have O R I G I N A L G A S E S C A P E V A L V E etc plastered all over the design, which is definitely not a bad thing 😉

The DSSD reminds me of those cheap laptops which list all of their features with stickers.

I agree.
Its like buying Armani shirt with Armani written across the back !. No need.
Yes I would love the old Seadweller. Not keen on the Deepsea.

Still can! Ball and Luminox both seem to be selling tritium tube lumed watches again!
