DIAL: An original champagne linen dial. This dial features baton style hour markers and matching hands. It appears to be free of any staining or imperfections as evidenced by photographs. The lume has aged over time to a beautiful cream patina and matches the dial perfectly. With the exception of the 6 and 7 o'clock markers, all the dial lume plots are 100% perfectly intact.
CASE: The solid, 18kt yellow gold case remains strong. It has been lightly polished in the past yet the lugs remain very sharp and the original brushed finish on both the anterior and posterior portion of all four lugs is evident. The central portion of the screw down caseback also retains its original brushed finish. There is light wear on the case commensurate with its age. There is one small slightly deeper dent near the 11 o'clock lug that can be seen in the photographs; however, on the wrist its barely apparent.
MOVEMENT: Rolex automatic self winding caliber 1575. 25 Jewels, 19800 frequency, 48h power reserve. Service history is unknown. The watch winds, sets, runs and keeps time. It was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated the watch is keeping time within 8 seconds per day and has an amplitude of 281. The watch can be serviced for approximately $325 plus parts, if any are needed. If serviced the watch will come with a 1 year mechanical warranty.
BRACELET: We have paired this clean datejust with the "Ioustiniani" strap: a handmade, hand stitched and hand painted Italian goat skin strap from our vintage watch shop.
