To begin with, just as a disclaimer, I do not own this piece, I work in horology and am lucky enough to get up close and personal to some really curious pieces, this being one of them. I think this might be a bit of a Marmite watch, for me, I'm very much in the thumbs down camp. It's a bit of a sight to behold, but for me, when a watch face loses its legibility, then it defeats its own purpose, imvho, especially when it comes to chronographs and other small-dial complications (and that's all before we get into the hornets nest that is modifying originals, something I understand is a bit of a contentious issue). A lot like the watches Richard Mille make, plenty of complex examples of watchmaking with incredible functions that just get lost in among a skeletal dial, making them difficult or sometimes nearly impossible to use as intended.
While I can appreciate the sheer craftmanship in building something like this I´d never buy it, even if I had the money! And how on earth do you tell the time at a glance? Although that's not the point of the watch, I know...!
I have enough trouble seeing the date on my non-cyclops Omega. Having a chrono that I can't see the time on is an expensive waste of my time...
Can someone give a brief explanation of who these guys are and whether they have approval from Rolex to produce their stuff using the Rolex name and logo? Thanks.
I would rather spend hard earned $'s on a vintage Daytona. What happens when you send this to Rolex ?
They would return it untouched but owners of this watch are not concerned about who services the watch and how much it costs
They are not affiliated with Rolex. I think that you have to source the watch and they just do the modifications.
