Dear members,

I just came across this air king from 2002 withnsll papers and original box). I don't have knowledge of this model but I think it has a cool history. Before I pull the trigger, I would like to hear your opinions because you have more knowledge then I.

Big thank you in advance. I hope I don't waste your time too much.

If it weren't for the Winn-Dixie Safe Driver on the dial and the engraving to Julio on the case back, it would be a nice looking watch imo. Unless it's a great price, I'd pass.

I've always liked the Air King, and from what I can see this one is in pretty honest condition -- surprisingly there's no evidence of excessive polishing. But unless you have some special connection to Winn Dixie or Julio Sanchez, I'd find this particular example unappealing. And those same unique features may make it difficult to resell this watch.

From what I have seen the watch is good condition.
Regarding the Winn dixi and Julio, first I thought it was nice because the watche has a story to tell. But then on a second thought maybe Julio wasn't a nice guy.

The HUGE winn-dixie imprint on the dial is an instant turn-off as far as I am concerned.

I agree that the huge print on the dial is very ugly. I think it will always be a harder sell rather than a positive selling point of any story or history. Definitely pass.

I take a hard pass, too. There are many others out there from which to choose.

Looks fine. What do you want to know? Believe it or not, the Dominos AKs have become very collectible.

I wanted to know if this type of watch was somehow interesting in the eye of a collector. Like I said I am not very knowledgeable. The watch caught my eyes because of the narrative Iamnot looking at selling it. I tend to collect object who has a story to tell . Maybe iam just a dreamer about to buy a watch that have zero collectability.

Now, if it were Piggly Wiggly, or Waffle House, I'd find that interesting.

I'm still not sure what to tell you. If you're not looking at selling it, why do you care what other people think?

You probably already know that Winn-Dixie is a supermarket chain, so you understand the "history" of the watch. If it interests you, buy it.

Yop. I was just googling.it. So long for ' history'. No thank you. I will pass on that one.

Thank you for the wake up call.
