    Hi guys,

Am having a hard time calling on this one so putting it out to the experts here.

Am currently in the market looking for a good ref. 6610 and chanced upon this listingPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network at eBay.

The pictures and details look good to me:
    • Pretty discoloration to peach/pink of the supposed Radium lume
    • Correct 'Swiss' label at 6's bottom to indicate Radium used
    • Correct gilt logos and chapter ring on dial
    • Correct nice glossy dial instead of matt
    • Correct Mercedes hands with equally discolored lume to go with it
    • Correct clean Calibre 1030 for ref. 6010
    • Correct 'II.56' marked SS caseback
    • References visible between the lugs

So far just about everything points to a genuine listing.

Yet something still unsettles me. Turning to the seller (as the street says, buy the seller when doing a purchase in eBay), I was rather intrigued to read about the accumulated negative feedback given to this Australia based seller for his/her smartphone listings.

Digging deeper, I found this other 6610 listingPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network about 2 months back:

    • Australia based seller as well
    • Similar seller nicks 'deal_aussie' vs 'oz_deal'
    • Offered 6610 looks eeriely similar
    • Same 1956 cira reference numbers (168538 vs 168554)
    • Feedback received marks them as smartphone dealers as well
    • Descriptions point them out as the same operator, albeit different nicks

2 very similar watches coming from the same seller who mainly deals in smartphones and have received substantial bad reviews by buyers about fake goods, non-receipt of goods, goods were sent from China etc., this made me decide to continue my search elsewhere. :whistling:

Now, putting the above suspicious facts aside, the watches look perfectly fine (at least to me), and i'm still undecided if they are genuine 6610s, or very nicely done fakes altogether. ::confused2::
    Your calls please?

    3 questions for you:
    1. How long have you been looking for a Ref. 6610?
    2. Are located in Melbourne?
    3. Have you seen the other items the eBay seller has listed?

Would not touch it with a barge pole, nothing to do with the watch but the seller sounds dodgy. The only way I would consider it is a face to face meeting.
