    Hi

For sale is a my nice Rolex Coke Fat Lady 16760, not one I wanted to sell, but I have a chance to buy a grail so sadly this one has to go…

    The watch

The 16760 was made between 1983-1988 and only in stainless steel, and was also the first GMT II. The 16760 GMT-II had an extra-thick case, 0.5mm thicker than its predecessor, as well as a thicker bezel & crown guards leading to the nick name "Fat Lady” and, somewhat unfairly I think, the " Sophia Loren". The bezel only came in red/black “ Coke”. I purchased this watch when on holiday last year in Italy, from a reputable jeweller Rolex specialist in Tuscany, who had serviced it.

    Condition:
The tritium on the dial and hands has aged to a nice ivory hue that does not glow under intense light, except for one tiny speck on the main marker at 12 - this was a previous repair. Best of all, the dial has aged to a lovely dark chocolate / tropical colour. The hands are a little oxidised but I think look Ok and so I left as-is. The case is in good condition, bevels present and visible, thick lugs, but has a little wear from use. The bezel is the correct original one which has faded a little. The bracelet is in good condition and is the correct full-length 78360 with 501b end links. The serial number is R33xxxx a 1988 production.

It comes with the original inner and outer box, and certificate from the jeweller I bought it from, but no other papers

    Payment details:
    -
Price - I'm asking £8750 net which includes fully insured and tracked shipping via UPS, offers welcome
    - You are responsible for any customs / import tax or duties on any sale
    - Payment - via Paypal FF, bank transfer, or normal PayPal + 4%. I am in London UK, so happy to do face to face if that works and you are in good standing. I will be in the US (New York) in the next 3-4 weeks so happy to bring it with me and meet you if you are near NY, or to ship it within the US again with UPS
    - Returns accepted if you don't like it, let me know within 1 week of receiving it, return shipping at your cost.

If required, I have some references here as a buyer and seller, and am happy to provide these.

I always try to do my research and price what I sell fairly, but as I'm an enthusiast with a day job and a family, I might not always get it right! So please feel free to make me an offer or let me know if I'm far off or have anything wrong in my description.

    Thank you!

Lovely piece. Possible future regrets when Rolex continue the GMT jubilee family releases with a Coke in a couple of years time.... Maybe ...
