Looks similar to one I am currently considering. The hour markers are very similar. This is a 16000 and does have the quickest but not sure about the crystal.

Crystal should be hesalite on 16000, nice dial !

Clean slate dial, plain bezel, oyster bracelet...what’s to consider??

I like the OP 1603, and I don't think the asking price is unreasonable. Obviously it has been polished, but the dial and hands are very nice, and after servicing it would be an excellent piece to wear regularly. Definitely an upgrade to the OP's 1601 in terms of condition, and the sigma dial adds some modest interest to collectors.

[Edit: That said, there is a 1603 on WuS for $2,800 and a 16030 on Reddit for $3,000, so compare condition, and do your own pricing research.]

Yep, I love my 1601 from 1974. 18k Gold, Sigma Dial and never been polished!

With experience it will be obvious to you from the appearance of the lug holes, the edge between polished and brushed surfaces, and the smoothed appearance of dents and scratches.
