Howdy from a new member. I joined this forum because there's been some information on the Rodania watches in the past. I just acquired the above mentioned timepiece and can find no information about it. Would be thrilled if someone can give me some insight on this.
Your pictures don’t show enough cues to be positive, but based on what I see, let’s guess. Looks like a gold filled (not karat gold) case, stainless steel back, the movement appears to me to be an ETA caliber 2459. Or a very similar one from the ETA family. Incabloc refers to the shock protection on the balance staff. The watch appears to be from the middle to later 1950s. ETA was (and is) one of the most prolific of the Swiss watch manufacturers. This family of movements was produced in countless varieties over a period of 30 years or so. This design of movement was a very important cog in the evolution which has brought us to the modern day automatics from ETA, today. Very reliable, good performers, but unfortunately, owing to the millions produced, they were used in countless generic name brand watches, and I don’t consider them to be very collectable. Image from the Ranfft archive. Incidentally, the trade mark and caliber number will likely be embossed in the lower pillar plate, somewhere near the balance wheel.
