The first robber hands O'Connor a clipboard and says he needs a signature for an electrical shut-off.
As the shop owner studies the paperwork, the first robber fishes in his pocket and casually pulls out a container of pepper spray.
The robber blitzes O'Connor with the mace, then wheels and maces a customer as the shop owner staggers back.
Right on cue, the second robber pulls a baseball bat from his pants and smashes a display case.
The maced customer curls into a ball on the floor as glass flies everywhere, and the first robber wheels around to begin loading watches into a backpack carried by the third crook, who is waiting outside with a backpack.
But O'Connor recovers quickly, whipping out a semi-automatic pistol.
The tables turned, the stunned crooks flee for their lives as O'Connor charges back into the front of the store with his pistol at the ready.
No shots were fired, and the criminals fled in a black Dodge Challenger with silver rims and black paper temporary plates.
O'Connor says the criminals did not manage to get away with any of his merchandise. The customer who was maced ended up buying the watch he was looking at when the robbery unfolded.
Police are seeking three black males, each around 6'2" in height, in connection with the attempted robbery.
Anyone with information about the suspects is urged to call detectives anonymously at 925-256-3518.
