Your purchase appears to be a ‘pre Stingray’ model 64/65. Should be a 437. Great watch. Apparently every part down to the screws were made in house. Almost certainly sold at a loss hence the slimming down in the 70s. It’s odd that the Stingray S command such high prices around £800+ in uk, but that these fantastic watches can be picked up so cheap.
Congrats on the first Roamer, they are definitely neat little pieces. For me a Roamer was my first vintage mechanical. I remember buying several off Ebay from Romania or something a few years back.
Does anyone have any resources on Roamer? I've never been able to find one that looks like mine. And given what it cost (maybe $150) I can't see how it would be worth the time for it to be a franken, but I guess you never know.

Some of the Roamers have tricky 17mm lugs too..good trying to find a bracelet to fit those ! ;0)
