For the 39th year the Rikketik has its 4th international watch fair this year.

On November 10th, the Rikketik will open its doors for early birds at 8.30 at the Expo in Houten (The Netherlands). It is the place to be for watchlovers, collectors and enthousists......
With more than 10,000 visitors annually, the Rikketik is the largest vintage watch, clock and timepiece fair in Europe. At the fairs you will find vintage wrist watches, pocket watches, clocks, watch parts, accessories, books, straps, watch tools and everything that has to do with watches and clocks. Exhibitors from Europe and far beyond are present at our fairs.
The restaurant is open from 9.00 till 15.00 and parking is free.
Members have a considerable discount on entry tickets. To avoid the line and waiting, buying an E-ticket saves you time. Next fairs in 2025 are in January, April, June and November.

It's a 3.5 hour driver from my place. Very tempting and dangerous all at the same time.

Seems like an impressive turn out for a hobby that’s supposedly on the slide…

I wonder if our Omega Board member @Bernhard J will be there? I’d love to be there myself.
Unfortunately not ... 😟

Ich would love to see early Dutch pocket watches like this one (my only one, made by Hermanus Caspari, Leyden). There is a brilliant book about Dutch watches of the 17th and 18th century, unfortunately in Dutch only, but the photos 🥰

Do you think my wife would accept this trip as an early Christmas gift?
Maybe Santa would also give me some spending money?
Wow .............. would love to be there

'Hollandse Horloges' written by Cees Peeters, ISBN: 9789074083034, written 2012.

Covers watches (Dutch only!) from 1580 to 1786, a really lovely book and well worth the price. Comprises also a comprehensive list of Dutch makers and examples of this period.
