hi. i am new to the forum and would like any information on my query. i have a 1943 18k gold omega watch the case has fixed lugs .the problem is there are no omega markings or hallmarks. the case has been tested as 18 k gold. would this be the original case or a replacement. i have not yet figured out how to download photos. any information would be gratefully received. many thanks. mark.

The markings will be engraved on the inside of the case back. Get a local watchmaker to remove the back and take some photos that clearly show the serial number of the movement and the engravings on the inner side of the back.

During this period Omega is know to have supplied movements and dials to importers which were then put in a case from another manufacturer.

It's easy to upload photos and once we have something to look at I'm sure all your questions will be answered by the experts that contribute to this forum.
