A relatively recent arrival is this cal 354 Seamaster chronometer which I picked up a month or two ago. It is just back from service last week and here it is together with two cal 352 chronometers which are also in rose gold. These two with blued steel seconds hands. All three are early 1950´s and French market, ie with 18kt French production cases and Fab. Suisse marked on the dials and movements. Hard to capture in a photo, but interestingly, all three watches have different shades of rose gold, with the watch on the left having the most yellow hue of the three.

Yes.. This dial will be wack when some time has passed! A very good example of a dial that someone has been cleaning (or tried to:whipped:) . But without touching the printing in fear that they might go off.. A shame to see this kind of work::facepalm1:: Instead it should be left as it was!

I don’t think that’s the case. That just looks like the ink interacting with the lacquer to me.

The watches at the top are fantastic @cristos71.

Lovely threesome! I've long held a theory that French market watches of that era had a higher percentage of blued second hands than other markets. Here's a Longines of mine; I've never seen another Flagship with a blued hand:

Do you not think it would be better to make pairs? You having two and me having two? Then I could start a breeding programme... I know mine is both a mutt (project watch) and a charlatan (capped) so maybe your fine French pink ladies will not take fancy?

Please send over a pink one. I will PM you my adress. Pack securely. I will let you have the first offspring.

@styggpyggeno1 If they breed as good as your Turtles seemed to a while back, I'm up for a pup from your mutt

Unforunately these rosey old French mademoiselles don't travel so well anymore and sacre bleu the idea of some multi-culti-coloured offspring is a bit of a thorny subject in these parts which doesn't tickle them so pink either to be franc. :p
