·Revue Cerberus DS Vintage Oversize 40mm watch with Box Booklet Hang tag.
Asking € 875,- euro with Wise, bank transfer, PP f&f or pick up in the Netherlands.
The watch measures 40mm ( ex crown ) x 12,2 mm high including the domed acrylic glass, the case itself is only 8mm high with a 47mm L2L. Super dressy and comfortable to wear. The caseback still has some of the factory lacquer seale on it and i decided to leave it on there. This watch runs within a few seconds per day and was last fully serviced and taken apart, cleaned, oiled and assembeld by an Omega certified watchmaker in February 2021.
Revue, later Revue Thommen, may have used the Cerberus name for a specific market such as Australia/Pacific where i have seen some other versions. But do check out Mitka`s pages with lots of history regarding Revue watches at www mitka.co uk, and their MSR high grade movements. MSR was the proprierty manufacture owned by Revue and was also supplier of Vulcain ( cricket ) and Vertex watches among others.
It has the nicely finished MSR Manufacture type T46/28a handwound movement with gilded logo and runs at 19.800 A/h with circa 50 Hr powerreserve. The watch has a Double Safety shock protection licensed from Certina and Incabloc. It comes without the strap but WITH the original double R Revue buckle, and the vintage NSA style bracelet shown in the picture. Included is the hang tag and blue watchbox as well as the ( unsigned ) guarantee booklet.
The watch has a beautiful creme/ivory white dial, depending on the light, in superb condition apart from a missing lume pip at 3 o`clock. A tiny spot on the hour hand. Massive applied hour markers with faceted edges, these are silver/metal colour but sometimes show a golden or old tritium hue. The bezel has the original soleil brushing, the case is not polished, you can feel the super sharp edges, and has but a few tiny marks i can see and some small scuffs on the lugs from a strap change . Original signed crown.
I will include a spare movement T46 for your peace of mind in case you need parts in the future. Water resistance was tested at 3 ATM but don`t take it for a swimm !!
