Hi! Many of us have watched or followed the recent Phillips auction. Today I watched a Canadian auction (Miller & Miller).

There were some nice pieces. Many of the Rolex models failed to meet their high expectations, while others exceeded them.

Some watches appeared to go cheap and I wonder if they may get tossed in the crucible. (I have not even tried to calculate the gold or silver values to validate my concern).

I was interested in the Harwood but did not get it.

Some watches were described as restored and with repainted or refinished dials.

Prices in Canadian dollars, plus tax (13%?) plus 18% buyers premium.

See a few of my screen shots below, and check out the Miller & Miller site if you want to have a closer look.

@Duracuir1 ,

I believe lot # 14 is one you were interested in, as well. It went for $1,200 (Cdn.). Add the 13% harmonized tax, plus the 18% buyers premium, and you end up at about $1,600 (Cdn.) or about $1,250 U S. If it comes up again at auction, it will be interesting to see what it might bring. The Rolex Air-King sold for $3,500 (Cdn.). When I acquired my Air-King in 1971, the MSRP was $215.00!
