    Hi,
I have seen a speedie I like the look of, but the bezel is toast, has the dot above 90 but the rest is a real scracthed up mess. Does anyone know if these can these be restored? And if they can be restored any recomendations for the job?
    thanks

Best bet is to buy a nicer vintage bezel on ebay. If the rest of the watch is nice then may still be worth pursuing as the bezels do come up on occasion.

I asked STS about this a while ago. They weren't able to do it.

Whether that means it is actually impossible, I don't know. But if STS aren't willing to give it a go then I expect it's beyond most independents.

Unless it is a 2915 speedmaster, for this bezel it wouldn't be worth the expense.

Find a new bezel & install for daily use, but keep the old one too. That's what I did.
