What should be the avrage power reserve be in a newly serviced speedy ? I'm having to wind mine up every 24 hrs if not it stops, I've read up that on avrage you should get about 48hr before you have to rewind, as well it takes on average about 12-15 turn to fully wind the watch up from empty .

if you are winding it until it stops and only getting 24 hours there's something wrong. To short a mainspring?

I have just wound three of my 861s and Lemania's own version. All four took 25 turns and will run for about 48 hours.

Yup needs to go back. I would check it one more time thou. When fully unwound then count full turns and take note before you send back.

Yes, power reserve should be 48 hours. Since STS is a service center for Omega, I am assuming they would be using Omega parts, so the chances of it being a short mainspring are slim...

I fully would the watch up at 6.30 this morning it ran on time till 8.35 then stopped, after giving it 1.5 turns the watch restarted and has been working up till now that's 11hrs without losing time or stopping . Further to this I wound the watch up fully at 11.45 last night and by 6.30 this morning it had stopped .

    Hi ,
I'm sure STS would have used genuine parts , STS had a problem with the watch weeks before it was due to be sent back ,we were told the watch was stopping after several minutes they had to make some adjustments to it this took 2 weeks. This might be a reoccurring problem form this firts time I'm just not sure .

One way or another STS has it to get it back to make correct. It will take time to repair giving you time to buy another. Just trying to help.

Personally I would take it as a sign to purchase another. Might be a bad habit but I have a couple of others as well. Cheers if you know what I mean.:D
