I am in the D.C. area and have a 1967 321 that needs servicing. Although I had it serviced last year, it is consistently losing apx 55 seconds per 24 hours regardless of position/wearing and with winding at the same time each day over a 10 day period. I've taken the 321 to a local watchmaker who said he serviced Omegas, but It was clear he had never actually serviced a 321, and he didn't inspire confidence when we were talking about the watch while it was on his timegrapher. I have looked into sending it to two of the better known independent vintage Omega specialists that I identified via this site, but one is booked up and can't take the watch in, and the other suggested I would have to send the watch internationally with a declared value of less than $500 in order to avoid customs delays/taxes. I seem to be left with going to a larger operation like Central Watch in NYC who would have capacity to service my watch. If anyone could point me to someone who could reliably service a 321 and is likely actually available to do so, I would appreciate the help. Or in the alternative, I'd appreciate reassurance from anyone who has had a positive experience with Central Watch and a 321. Thanks in advance for the help.
Nesbit's in Seattle I believe services 321s. It's a long way from DC, but it least you wouldn't have to worry about customs and I know they're used to shipping. http://www.nesbitswatchservice.com/
I've been very happy with Govberg Watch Repair in Philadelphia, originally Precision Watch Repair. If you call, ask for Israel and have him hook you up with Manny.
I would also highly recommend Nesbit's when I lived in Seattle I had a few interactions with the staff all I can say is that there very friendly and professional. Would defiantly recommend
