Hoping more experienced members can help. Have recently acquired a 1957 6534 Oyster Perpetual Date with 1035 movement. Crystal is smashed a nd needs replacing. Is it safe to go with a generic replacement or is genuine the way to go. Obviously a big difference in price and can find many options available for generic versions of the 25-117 cyclops crystal needed. Can anyone suggest any better quality generic versions they may have had experience with or are they all the same

I'd go Sternkreuz.

I’d get each of the generics and check them out to see how they look and fit. install the one that fits the best and has the correct magnification.
