1958? Plain? No, signed.
Thank you I wasn't sure as my 1946 one is unsigned so I assumed they were the same.

Thank you I wasn't sure as my 1946 one is unsigned so I assumed they were the same.

It is possible that a small number of dress models featured unsigned crowns as late as '58, but I doubt that would include the one that you show. Do you know the case reference?

Yes, those are the numbers. This is a bit unusual, as there are two references, but it simply means that the case style was used for both.

So, searching Google images for ref. 2865 or 2862, I find both signed and unsigned crowns, though clearly more of the former. Here are a some examples:

(the ones below have the same double case reference)

I would say that this supports the suggestion that the original crown would have been signed.

Replacements may be available, but Omega has not made gold filled or capped crowns since the late 60's

All are now gold plated.

Do a Google search on the case reference numbers and try and find a 2 or 3 with the same crown style. This will show you he style needed

Check shows a slim profile, but you can use whatever you like as long as it fits the case tube and stem if needed

Might be able to find a match on Ebay
