I have got a lady's De Ville watch which needs a battery replacement. It is a Renata 751 2v but I can't track one down, anyone got an idea where I can source one from?

    Unfortunately this cell is discontinued...

What movement is in the watch? I believe the inly choice is to swap the movement for one where a battery can be acquired.

    Cheers, Al

    Replacement is a 1459B, which uses a 335 cell.

No idea where you are located, but the simple answer is send the watch to Omega.

Alternately if you have a watchmaker with an Omega parts account, he could get one and swap it.

I can likely get you one if all else fails...depends on how you want to approach the work.

    Cheers, Al

Ok guess I need to see how much it would cost against the value of the watch. Thanks for your help

No idea if I should revive an old post or start a new one but I have a question for Al on this caliber. Do you know if it's possible to change the circuit only. I.e. Will the 1459B circuit fit onto the 1459? Not sure how the polarity would be affected even if it does fit.

Sorry, not able to fully answer this. But I looked at the parts listing for both the 1459 and 1459B. Both list the electronic module (circuit), and if the new module was backwards compatible to the 1459, I would expect them to list it in the parts list for that movement, but they do not. That would tend to make me think they cannot be swapped.
