Maybe someone here could use some parts. I think this watch covers half a dozen refs. Now I see he has a 2998-2 for sale. With a link to some other direct ebay looking page. Does anyone know anything about this seller or the sale? I'm getting a really bad feeling about that item, but it looks a little too good. Ah, so it could be a hacked account. Whatever it is, probably best to stay far, far from sending any money for any of his watches. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1950-s-Vin...366809?hash=item3b41c2f759:g:su4AAOSwYIJePexQPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That ebay account is hacked I would say. Leads you to an outside link to "pay them". It's on all their listings.
It's a pretty well done scam if you ask me. I have blurred out the full link and it isn't clickable, just an image. The link actually looks like an ebay link, but it adds an extra string on the domain. I hope people don't fall for it, but the old saying of "If it's too good to be true" applies here.
Ya! I think I heard at least part of it in 1977 [or 1978] during a K-tel TV commercial offering country [and western] compilations on albums, 8-tracks and cassettes.
