Regulate a Speedmaster Triple Date?

Hello. My Speedmaster Triple Date (circa 1999) was last cleaned about 4.5 years ago. At that time, it was losing about 10-12 sec. per day. It now consistently loses about 20 sec. per day. There are no watchmakers in my area (NW Louisiana) that I am aware of that I have confidence in to regulate this watch. Any recommendations/advice? Should I just ship it to an Omega Service Center? Independent watchmaker? Is it time for another cleaning? Thanks.

Yes - regulating a watch that hasn't been serviced in 4.5 years is not likely going to solve a 20 second per day deviation.

Who you use is up to you, but Omega should be fine for a modern watch. If you use an independent, I would ask if they have an Omega parts account. Although the watch is based on the ETA 7750 family, not all parts are the same between those and the Omega versions...

    Cheers, Al
