For sale today is my vintage IWC cal 852 in 18k Yellow Gold, in fantastic condition, near-NOS. It is circa 1954, with a nice engraving on the back (the movement serial is actually circa 1951, so it could be older).
DETAILS:
- case is mint and still retains brushed and stain finishes on the side, as well as what looks like an import stamp? or an 18k gold stamp. The fish crown is a rarer older edition I believe
- Cal 852 movement is running very well and has been recently serviced (as you can see from photos). It is running <+30 secs per day, if not closer to +5-10
- the dial, indices, and hands in particular, are uncommonly mint for a watch of this age
- 34-35mm wide, with 18mm lug width. It wears pretty large for it's size, due to the lugs in particular
Given it's condition (only real negatives are some very light scratches on the crystal), I'm pricing it currently at REDUCED $3400 USD, including shipping within Aus, which I think is fair given it's condition. I have a generic strap to go with it, but can provide a custom made alligator ABP Paris strap at additional cost if desired.
