Lovely, almost untouched historic piece from a somewhat under appreciated house. I think early Longines, such as this one from around 1925 have a way to go with collectors and could appreciate in value. 3 piece 18k gold case 13.33 z with integral chronograph button on the crown at 3 o'clock Very importantly, the serial number on the case and movement match. Looks like 1 service mark inside the case back, incredible. 30mm case, 17mm lugs. Look at that enamel dial and 4 layers of scales, looks like this one is scaled for distance, maybe a pilot or racing car owner? Blued (I assume steel?) hands. Hairline crack at 3, which you just can not see at all unless the crystal is removed. Taken in trade, I have asked Longines for an extract of records but in the meantime the most hi profile Longines guys I know, one of whom has written 1 or 2 books on the subject, tel me it is 100% correct, not including the modern strap and buckle. Winds and sets, chronograph works perfectly, keeps time. No idea of recent service history. Please check the photos, they form part of the description. I'd like £6750 GBP for it, reduced to £6250, this includes world wide tracked shipping and Insurance with Parcel Pro. I can take payment in other currencies if required. I'm in the UK and a Scottish or London FTF is possible. Returns accepted, if I have grossly misrepresented my description.
Come on Lotto 6/49! Great Longines @watchlovr. Someone's going to get a beautiful example with this one.
Gents. I have added Photo of the Longines extract from records for your peace of mind. Proves the case and movement were born together and sold in 1930 in Italy. This extract comes with the sale.
