Here's a nice piece for someone who appreciates an aged vintage look, this dial reminds me a bit of the "fauxtina" that some brands are emulating in their re-issues of vintage models. This is an all stainless no-lume no-date Omega from approximately 1955 with a hand-winding cal. 283 movement from the venerable 30mm family. Honest watch that shows signs of age, but appealing in my opinion and faces up well on the wrist.

The screw-back case is a perfect size at 36mm, and appears to share a very similar shape (maybe identical TBH) as the more common ref 2639 (which has a sub-dial for the running seconds, instead of a sweep). As shown in the photos, the case is in nice condition with sharp edges and everything appears original to my eye. An etched Omega symbol can be seen in the center of the crystal.

The movement has not been serviced in my possession, but it is setting, winding and running well. As always, no specific guarantee is offered on performance or water-resistance. A professional service is obviously recommended if you plan to use the watch regularly.

Please take a good look at the photos and let me know if you have questions.

My asking price is $495 USD (reduced from $565) by PP F&F, Zelle, or potentially other fee-free electronic payment. The watch and I are in the US (Colorado). Shipping included within the US.

Some links to my selling and buying feedback are below, and I'm happy to share personal information by direct message. If anyone thinks I have made an error or omission in this listing, please send me a direct message, and I will happily make any necessary correction.

In my mind, this watch is the very definition of perfect daily wear vintage. Great size, lovely even patina, screw back, affordable.

Oh for the love of god will someone buy this already before I spend $500 on another watch (that I need like a hole in the head)? Where are all the newbies looking for a first vintage Omega? You’re not going to do better than this, and it’s 36mm! How the sh!t is this still here?

Agree in every way. I gain some solace in the fact that the Aus $ is doing so poorly. It's a beauty with a good original crown too.
