·Hi,
I am offering a very special watch to you.
It is one of the vintage diver with depth gauge.
The function was easy:
The water is pushing inside the case into a channel on the outside of the plexi.
With additional water pressure, more water enter the channel.
On the dial, there is a scale with a meter measure.
The watch is in excellent condition.
The dial shows only a few signs of age.
The 42mm stainless steel case is also known nearly identical from the legendary Orient Chronoace King Diver.
On the pics, you could see the channel around the plexi crystal.
The channel should begin exactly behind the crown, here it is slightly twisted when installed.
As you should not dive with a vintage diver anymore, this should be no problem.
For sure, it should be possible to reinstall the plexi correctly....
The service history is unknown, but the watch runs accurately and with high amplitude (see pic).
A very nice summer watch with a special feature.
I am asking 599 Euro + shipping.
Payment via bank transfer or PayPal.
EU sale is preferred.
The watch and I are located in germany.
Details:
Brand: Aureole (later with Doxe, Cyma part of Synchron!)
Model: Depth Gauge
Reference: 618-90
Year: approx. 1971
Case: Stainless steel, ~42mm without crown
Movement: AS 1906
Dial: black, silver, orange
Plexi with channel for the water to show the depth.
Lug width is 21mm, I mounted a 22mm leather.
Thanks to Omegaforums for the space!
Best,
Peter
