For sale or trade is a 1958 Omega Seamaster Calendar 2849 reference with a nicely patinated dial and arrowhead markers. The case is in nice, unpolished condition with sharp bevels on the bezel and lugs and clearly visible “Seamaster” and “Waterproof” text on the case back. The 502 caliber movement winds and sets well but is running slow so a service is needed. Additional details are below, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Dial: Original, non-refinished, dial has developed an even patina. Hands have developed light oxidation and radium lume is intact but has partially darkened on the hour hand. Radium on the dial/markers is fully intact and has developed a nice, consistent color. "Swiss" text is present below the 6 marker as expected. Case: Original 34.5mm 2849-6 reference case is in very nice, unpolished condition. Bevels on the bezel and lugs as well as the “Seamaster" and "Waterproof" text on the case back are still clearly visible. At some point someone etched a number into the back of one of the lugs (watchmaker most likely). Crown: Generic unsigned crown. Crystal: Generic crystal, has a small chip at 3 but otherwise clean. Movement: Original 502 caliber movement winds and sets well, however it is running slow so it needs service. Service history is unknown. Serial number dates the watch to 1958. Strap: Comes on a generic brown leather strap with steel buckle (not the strap pictured). This watch also looks great on a beads of rice bracelet which is available for extra cost (PM me as I have a couple Omega BORs available). Price is $450 (reduced from $600). Open to trades for non-radium 50s or early 60s Seamasters, Constellations, Geneves, Conquests, and Flagships (see my WTB/WTT here). I'll cover insured US shipping, international shipping is available but to be discussed with buyer. PayPal preferred for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in Seattle, WA, USA.
