For your consideration, a 1950’s Hallmark Triple Date Watch.

Hallmark was a brand used by Waltham. Per Wikipedia:

“During their restructuring efforts in the 1950s, Waltham opened an office in New York for the purposes of importing Swiss watch movements and cases. Due to restrictions placed on the company by its main creditor, the Restructuring Finance Corporation, they could not sell these watches directly, so they were sold through an independent company, the Hallmark Watch Company.”

This is a beautiful, perfectly working watch from the 1950’s. It features a 10k gold filled L&K watch case, which shows signs of use consistent with age. Even the case back is gold filled. Besides the crown there are two pushers, the 2 o’clock one for the month quick set and the 4 o’clock one for the date quick set.

The dial has acquired a nice light creamy patina and features golden hour markers. The minute markers and the dates are printed in black ink. The seconds are on a sub second dial. The hands are golden, except the striking blue date hand that indicates the date at the dial periphery. The hands and the dial have a few spots of aging.

Inside beats an automatic AS1315 17-jewel bumper movement. This movement was imported into the U.S. by Hallmark Watch Corporation (Louis Aisenstein & Bros, New York), which can be determined by the import code “YOU” http://www.ranfft.de/uhr/info-uscode-e.html. The crystal is acrylic and has no major scratches and only a few nearly invisible light scratches.

The case measures 40.6 mm lug to lug, 33mm wide without crown, 35.5 mm with crown and is 12 mm high. The watch comes on a lightly worn brown genuine leather strap

Service history is unknown.

No box or papers are included

I am asking $333 OBO.

PayPal and bank transfers are accepted. Please add 3% fees for PayPal payments. Shipping & handling is included for CONUS and added for all other countries. Shipping is fully insured and of course the correct value will be used for custom purposes. If PayPal is used, I will ship only to verified addresses. I prefer to ship directly to the buyer, if other arrangements are made I will not be responsible after dropping off the shipment.

I have bought and sold a few watches here on OF and I can provide you with feedback from EBay and Etsy if requested. The buyer may share feedback ratings on request.

Returns will not be accepted unless the watch is grossly different from the description. Please ask relevant questions before you commit to buying. After all, these are vintage watches.

Unfortunately, I am not a watchmaker and therefore cannot guarantee the future performance or water resistance of the watch. I do however try to describe the watch as accurately as possible. I wish this transaction to be win/win and I will do everything to make it so.

Thanks for your interest and to OF for the space and opportunity to post this FS ad.
