I am now determined to add a gilt dial Omega to my collection so this recent purchase 'can' go. Very nice and honest Outdoorsman, bought from a German gentleman, In my possession, absolutely nothing was done to it. I left it completely as found. I did not even clean the case, nor polish the crystal.
Case, caseback, crystal and crown
Full stainless steel case, unpolished, in very nice shape. Some normal scratches but nothing major, except a slightly more noticeable mark on the lower left lug (see the picture specifically aimed at this). In my opinion, the crown is the original one. The crystal as well, it has slight scratches as you can see in the pictures. I left it untouched. Nice screw caseback with clearly visible ref and serial numbers. The inner lid over the movement is also still present!
Hands and dial
Stunning dial with slight patina and gorgeous orange/yellow colored radium. The dial is in perfect untouched condition, no scratches or similar blemishes. The blued hands are wonderful and the radium shows the same beautiful patina.
Caliber and service
The UG inhouse manual wind caliber 263 runs beautifully. The service history is unknown to me, but the watch is structurally sound, and runs at less than 1 min deviation per day. Winding goes smoothly. Such a nice solid basis.
Returns are of course allowed if I misrepresented the watch or the condition.
