I’m a big fan of the ref. 2505. I recently picked this up. I’d appreciate any thoughts regarding the dial. It looks good to me, but 8-11 o’clock are a bit off. I think it was common for some misalignment 65+ years ago, but would welcome your thoughts.
It’s a nice looking watch, the markers in the sub dial were the giveaway as a redial for me, as I’m not so familiar with the older fonts and logos.
I would not pay full price for this but if I could get it for 100-150$ I'd go for it, honestly... As has been said it's not a "bad" redial. It's not a good (perfect) one either, but still.
There is something with the « redial=bin » here that i will never understand come on man , that is not even the price of the case !!
I am attracted to these ref. 2505's. I have a policy of picking them up whenever I find one for a good price, despite flaws. I've yet to see one for $150, but I'm certainly looking
Mirrored indexes font is incorrect, the seconds markers are off center (check out the 8, 10, and 11 o'clock markers), "Swiss Made" would probably not be on an original dial for this reference, but the positioning of "Swiss Made" is incorrect; "OMEGA" font is incorrect.
Depending on the year, not necessarily. I suspect all of these are original dials and none state "Swiss" or "Swiss Made":
