I have been in discussions with Farfo on the watch below.

In researching it, I found the same watch was sold on eBay last year.

It seems to me the dial has been touched up in some way but I don't know the extent. The Farfo listing suggests it is original and when I asked about what had been done I was told a "complete overhaul" whatever that means.


Would be grateful for thoughts. I've posed the same question to Farfo but have no experience dealing with them so have no idea of their practices.

Further to the above I've been assured it is a photo / lighting thing and not a redial. Will have to see when it arrives in the mail!

 

This looks ok to me ... But I don't own the book. I'm just obsessed with these watches. Learning from experts here.

Saw that.. if it was a little less I'd be all over it.

 

Original finish dial. The minute hand was re-lumed, but it was done fairly well. The dial is, however, a period incorrect replacement - @Drechristian and I have discussed this one privately, and according to Blake Scott, this dial was on sale sometime last year.
