Hello all, I was very happy to find this forum as I have been a big fan of Omega watches for years. I currently own a Railmaster 2502.50, Seamaster 2254.50, and Speedmaster but am looking to branch out into vintage Omegas. Since my knowledge on vintage watches is lacking, I was hoping to get another set of eyes on this watch. It seems to me that the dial is authentic, but I am just not sure. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
I see no obvious red flags on the dial. One thing I like about this watch is that the condition of the dial, case and movement is consistent. That's often a good sign for originality. gatorcpa
Thanks for the comments! I figured the crown was not correct but at least it is an Omega replacement. In general, what are your thoughts on Omegas cased in South America? This case has the official "Industria Argentina" hallmark on the inside.
Somewhat less collectible than the Swiss cased models. Cases are generally lighter than then equivalent Swiss model also. Just don't overpay for it. gatorcpa
I would have preferred the Swiss case but I really like the textured dial and tone of rose gold used in this case. The seller is asking $900. Does that seem reasonable or a bit high?
Dial looks very good, can't see this being a redial. Hands also appear to be matching and original. On the price, I'll let more experienced members chime in.
Does this model have a case number? 900 might be a good deal, not sure if the case number would change the value.
