Hi all, I know it's nearly impossible to tell from the photos, but the seller is neither a watch nor photo person. He claims he inherited the watch from his dad and the best pictures he managed to provide were these: Other than the possible redial, I noticed the crown doesn't seem to be right. At USD 200 would you give it a shot? Thanks a lot for your input! Cheers, Paulo
The dial and hands are original. The movement is a 28.10, so from the late 1940s. The crown is a later replacement. At $200 you should be fine
You did well. $200 leaves room for a service and still well under market. Just need a proper Omega crown, which you should be able to find with a case reference number. Dial looks original. Can't say much about the movement from that blurry photo, but I think it's worth the gamble. gatorcpa
So, my new little friend has arrived. Was it a decent score? Any thoughts about it? I couldn't find a 16mm strap at home so I just ended up giving it a try on this nato, but I must say I quite like it. Somehow it feels a bit more sporty with it
Very nice, Wadsworth USA cased and interesting watch from around 1945 - 46. The crown is wrong, but that's about all.
