Red print on white vintage dials - show yours?

Thanks for the heads up to the thread. So the synic in me says incorrect until proven correct. IMHO it's such a good esthetic. It reminds me of what happens when the printer has run out of a colour.

For the record, I believe that the dials are correct. It wouldn't make sense to fake a batch of cal. 27 Tissots from the 30s/40s and then colour the text (and hands!) red. Also, both dials are marked Fab. Suisse and both have the "M" mark on the movement, marking it as being for export to France... The inconsistencies of the dial print is within the tolerances I'd expect too.

Also @syrtie comment on vi in the sundial is present on both images. Is this the same watch?
Yes the subdial imperfection is the same on both examples -- It's two examples of the same model, but it's not the same watch. One is heavily patinated with flaking chrome plate, the other one is in near perfect pristine condition. One sold for over 400 euros and the other for about 80, sold by two different sellers about a week or so apart.

Tp me the second example is evidence that the dials are original. If they had been faked or redialed they would all be the same whitish color, why would someone bother to make redials in different hues? The darker more "aged" color of the second one comports with the worn condition of its case.
It would be worth posting all of the pics from both listings as illustrations.... (but I currently cannot so someone else be my guest).
Cheers

I'm starting to lean to its a fair dial. The aesthetic appeal to me either way (for the record 馃榾 )
Ah yes, there are two watches I see the differences now. The stretch bracelet is the one peitan bought. The strap watch is a second example showing the same aesthetic. As you suggest it is unlikely to be redial with the second watch being shown with different spots patina and scratches.

cheers

Lots of older chronometers have red printing on the telexxx scales but I'm not sure if that's what you had in mind? Because if so, I've like probably eleventy or 6.3 dozen watches with red print on white dials.
