Could you look into this Seamaster? I am thinking of buying it as my first Omega:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/222535343681Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    I have some doubts:
    1) the movement is a 564 which is supposed to be a chronometer, but it doesn't say that on the dial
( 2) the back seems to be polished, but I guess that's just a fact at this point)
    3) the date surround is not faceted at least I don't see it

Are 1) and 3) real red flags or am I missing something here?

Thanks a lot for your thoughts!

Not the right movement according to the museum. Should be cal 562/565.

The seller doesn't seem to be any kind of watch expert. Looks like they'll flog any old stuff so their claim of "authentic" is probably an attempt at "marketing". "Unique" would be more apt...

    You are very observant!
It seems that the original 562 or 565 movement was replaced by 564. Case back look good.

Thanks guys! It is odd to replace a non-chronometer movement with a chronometer certified one though. It would make sense the other way around...
