Let's add a NOT recommended to make sure people don't get swindled: http://www.ebay.com/itm/350895487205
Here's a supposedly "vintage Zenith Defy Diver Automatic Cal 2552 ca. 1969." For those of you that track these sorts of things, there are several obvious tells for why this is a franken, but the worst for me is the mismatched movement. The listed/pictured movement is a 2552 PC, but the model number on the back ends in .380. That's the code Zenith uses for a 2572 PC movement. Add that to the wrong hands (and wrong crown), and folks here should stay away.

I suspect the 4 offers he had in the first few minutes led him to believe his price was too low. Let's see what he relists it at.
I can never understand the mentality of some buyers. If I see a watch that I want and it is one of those where the seller does not realise what he's got, I hit the "Buy It Now" button. If it is already a bargain, why on earth would you try to chip the seller further?
Funnily enough, the last time I was in this situation was with my example of the same watch and that was more of a gamble because the photos looked like they were taken with a cheap phone on a drive-by.
I did the exact same thing with an A386 last week. It popped up on a saved search with a price from 3 years ago, I looked at the photos for about 2 mins praying no one was going to hit it before me, couldn't find anything really offensive so hit "buy it now". Mind you it's been stuck in customs for 3 days now so I don't know what I actually got. Or what the customs butchers are doing to my poor watch...
They can't be doing too much. The most valuable thing you could ship in a watch case would be diamonds and they would need to be cut before insertion - now if the watch has come from certain parts of southern Africa.........
Espada just turned up

As an initial matter, we know the reserve is over $3200, which is where it finished last week when it was first offered. From the dial and case back, it's a second generation (first series has a star on dial and the old numbering system, second has the inverted star and new model numbering). Also, either the whole bracelet or just the clasp it wrong, and one of the pushers looks replaced. All that said, you don't see these very often.
