Okay Zenith dudes, what can an uneducated slob like me realistically expect to pay for a watch like that? I see it's 40 mm, but if the case sits anything like the Daytona it should be a good fit for me.
I have to confess an interest in this watch myself. I have all the DeLuca II models except this one. Go away! But seriously, I would expect something comfortably over 2000 - how much over depends on how bad you want it.
Slight dial damage but still a cool piece http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zenith-El-P...459248762?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item5d3d3b347aPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
A very cool piece, at a very good price so far - and it looks correct, though anything from Turkey makes me nervous. This one has the 'diver's bezel', in minutes (for elapsed time). Another is on offer on Chrono24 for a price that seems way high to me (3300 euros). It has the 'pilot's bezel', in hours (for a second time zone).
The only thing I can see in the photos is that the blue paddle sweep second hand appears to be a replacement. I say this because the proper one should have a white tip, and be a little longer than this one, as illustrated: Also, though it is hard to tell, the lume may have been replaced. Hope this helps! Chris
And its now mine. Tad expensive, but competitive bidding is always a good sign of value. Merci beaucoup Dennis.
isn't that Carl's line in Caddie Shack when he's telling the kid about the Dali Lama driving into a 10,000 foot crevass?
And if anyone wants to know, Marc's "curmudgeonly absurdist" was installed by me after he said he prefered to be thought of that way after I told him he was moving in on Evan's turf. http://omegaforums.net/threads/film-compax-a-mystery-solved.3587/#post-41584
