Yes, I know, what a dork, I spent so much time salivating over the Zenith Chrono's that it was embedded in my brain.

This will eventually get to the UG forum.

My first thought, the lettering of TRI-COMPAX over the sub-dial?

    What else piques your interest?

    Well, nothing. It's a redial.

As for the redial "tells" - the usual stuff: wrong font, bad centering, printing of uneven thickness, tending towards overinking, and that bright white, unblemished dial finish that I've never seen on a 50 year old watch.

The seller does go on and on about the watch in the listing...whew!

The description alone is such a histrionic red flag.

A fine example of the "Baffle 'em with bullshit" style of selling.

Well some noob is now the owner, hope they're happy with it.

Is it just me or is there something suspect about the bidding :cautious:

It'll be interesting to see how greedy the seller is. That's a stiff price for a gold plated redial. If there is a relist, he needs to calm his shills down a bit.

Well, you gotta re-list it if your shill wins. He ain't gonna pay you. ;)

That is what eBay "second chance offers" are for -- smoking out the highest legitimate bidder. But when the runner up was also a shill...
