Like the one on the right? I got that on a non working diver which cost me $14. Keep watching those listings. The straps and bracelets are often worth way more than the watches...

Be the Shockmaster!
Nice looking GP Elgin, sunray textured dual, red second hand, turtle-ish lugs. Dial has some crud on it, may clean up- may not. Make an offer and get it for lunch money.

There should be a "learn how to fish" post about looking for the random stuff in ebay listings. Here's a good one I caught a couple weeks ago.

The photo from the ad, hmmmm what's that rivet band on the watch on the bottom right? Might as well make a $20 offer and find out...

Well....

1955 small logo 7205 bracelet. End links had been molested, but was still a nice catch and release for $20.

Keep those eyes peeled on junk watches for the good stuff.

Sweet little Enicar Seapearl with awesome textured dial. Case is gold plated but it looks to be in nice shape. This would be sweet paired with a suede strap for autumn.
Seller says running, and has make offer

Wasn't trying to brag, just a good example of buying junk for the straps.

Now I feel like a jerk. Sorry 馃
Not at all! We all celebrate in the spoils of victory!
Had I found that I would be showing it off too.

Now the big question- do you have the watch upon which to mount that bracelet or will that $20 bracelet cost you $1.5k? 馃槜

And if you don't have the watch that pairs with it, I'm sure @slique12 can help you out with that ::stirthepot::

Ha! I have enough projects that started because of one cheap part.

You give a mouse a cookie.....

I sold it the day i got it to avoid temptation. I already have another "bargain" Rolex project that needs love and money.

There is never enough love or money for a project Rolex- it's like trying to restore a boat.
