I’ll throw this one out. I don’t know much about the brand but this Gubelin seems to be in fine condition. Description says 35mm.

I know. Is that like two-fifths of a chronometer?

Don’t tell the seller that 😉 I don’t know how much better such a movement would be, but from what I’ve read, definitely better. I’ve been reading that Gubelin was a retailer, not a manufacturer, so it would be interesting to learn what movement that is.

That's a good note to have. The dial is really very clean....too clean? I would compare the logo and font against other known models like this- perhaps the re-list was due to a buyer who did their research after the sale.

it could be many reasons...i'm not saying seller and the watch isn't legit, but private auction, no reserve and relist are 3 red flags

i was going to bid on this but i will release

there's a lot to like..but these no reserve auctions you always run the chance with shill bidding and dishonest sellers, which is kind of why i don't even want to post them. there's always a chance things are on the level and you could get a deal.

i don't want to turn this into a "what's wrong with ebay" thread, but i noticed this watch and i wanted to show you.

ebay has size requirements of the images you use when you sell. here's where it gets dicey. the smallest allowable image cannot be enlarged.

when i came across this watch i wanted to enlarge it to view it better. it turns out i can't. i then looked at the sellers other auctions and all of them you can enlarge, and the images are clear.

100% greasy unless you can convince me otherwise....looks like a bad redial and the seller is purposely not wanting you to know it.

NOS with that numbering. It is laughable.

It was relisted- I wonder if they would take 140 for it 😉

well. you know they wanted $250 and it didn't sell. so they up the bin and hope to get $250.....but at least you're armed with some leverage.

I hate that shit- they up it after it doesn't sell- that when I don't re-watch it as that's just insulting. You're going the wrong way!!!
