If you do an Advanced search for the watch under "Completed" or "Sold" listings, you'll see that that the $455 has a line through it--meaning it sold for less.
don't really want to post anymore mid century dress watches, but the dial on this one makes it stand out. nice engine turned bezel 34mm 150eu https://www.ebay.de/itm/PRIM-Uhren-...554578?hash=item5b7062ea12:g:P50AAOSwXy5ekAj7Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Well priced good size all SS column wheel chronograph. But check and do your research to see if its a redial or not.. I can't see any ridges on the sundials https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Charles...057221?hash=item3fe8c35d85:g:ONQAAOSw1mdea58mPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Mid century dress watches are fascinating. Feel encouraged to post more edit, I know it’s not the point of this thread, but I’m enjoying it more than the WRUW thread
Pour encourager Les autres... This arrived today. 30 mins later. Newish crown fitted from the spares box, old Black lizard vintage strap I had lying around. and a good sand down and repolish of the crystal. Ain’t she pretty? Total cost to me...55 bucks.
only reason i said that is because those watches have taken over the thread.. here's a pretty cool one. seller says it's 35mm..which is better than 34mm...haaaa.. https://www.ebay.fr/itm/154039509377?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&fromMakeTrack=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I would hazard a guess that what we now consider a dress watch was the most produced of all wristwatch styles. There is far greater variety in styling than you'd find in milspec or tool watches.
Took delivery of this over the weekend, that was recommended in here a few pages back. Decent little £45 Roamer
1. Beauty. 2. Looks like they saved some money on applied numerals: the 6 and 9 are the same. 3. What does "Tropicalized" mean on the caseback? It also says "Waterproof," so that's not it. 4. Does not ship to the U.S.
I agree- I enjoy a little diversity and try to put them up when I find them, but obviously the 50's/60's dress/sport watches are abundant and cheap thrills.
this prolly won't last. striking dial...extra bezel 220eu or best offer ..realistically, shooting for 150eu? https://www.ebay.de/itm/Orologio-Wa...231355?hash=item5b7d101abb:g:xu8AAOSwTzpfXjFyPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Can't forget that bracelet- yowza! This is a 70's stunner. Seller doesn't have a huge amount of feedback but it's good and eBay offers protection, so worth the shot.
Attractive SS black dialed Bulova from 1959. This one looks great, dial is beautiful and lume is as we like it. Could use a good scrub (toothbrush and Naptha if you can't dissasemble for soapy scrub followed by a damp paper towel and your finger nail around those nasty crevices). It's small at 31mm but that big black dial will pop on your arm. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143737567076Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Super clean Blumus- what is a Blumus? Sound like something you do to someone as a prank or an act of which we do not speak in polite company. This is a very clean design, the dial is spectacular, case is razor sharp with great chamfers and play of brushed and polished surfaces. Not sure if this is stainless or plated but it's clean as hell. Would be very curious what's inside. Seller says 36mm so it's sizable, and make offer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124338079596Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
A guy once cut a blumus in an elevator and two old ladies had cardiac arrest. It took an hour for the custodian to scrub down the walls with bleach.
