SS Black dialed Elgin. Pics suck but lume looks bright on both hands and pips, can't make out the dial condition but considering the sharpness of the case and the bright lume, probably excellent. Also proceeds go to charity.

    Poor man's Heuer Camaro!
Well, kind-of. We all know the Baylor/Heuer lore and wether you buy into it or not, there is no doubt a stylist connection here.
SS Baylor chrono with Venus 210, seller claims freshly serviced (would like to see a receipt on that claim). But even unserviced the price isn't bad for a Venus based chrono. Dial has some spotting, case shows some wear, but it's an honest watch and very presentable.

Listing says case is 38mm--my kind of size. I wrote the seller and asked if that was with or without the crown. He wrote back (I paraphrase):

My educated guess is 38mm. The crown is insignificant in measuring case size.

    Okay..........

Lol! This reminded me of a listing I came across where the seller measured the diameter but never showed what it was or listed it. Like, what is the point?

It's gonna be 35-36mm, that's what they are.
He probably also tells himself that size doesn't matter....yeah.

regardless, you want the watch, not his fortune cookie wisdom.

There are ways around that you know- all depends on how badly you want it. A no shipping outside US Benrus is on its way to Dave in Canada....it's good to have friends. :D

Maybe message the seller I think this is the third or fourth time he relisted?
Maybe he's tired of shilling and is willing to take an offer...

eBay shilling is over-hyped at OF. This guy has close to 15,000 eBay transactions, and if you look at his stuff it's clear he buys things at estate sales and storage lockers then resells them. He takes minimal photos and has minimal descriptions. He puts it up and if the high bidder flakes out he puts it up again. The guys who use shills have 27 listings and are trying to make a killing on a $12,000 Rolex, not a $300 Enicar.

Totally agreed- and when this one came up in another thread, I had my doubts about the seller being in on it. I think he's either being trolled or there is some third party trying to drive the prices up on these.

Agreed. I have sold a number of film cameras/lenses on eBay that received a lot of bids and ended up with the “buyer” backing out minutes after the auction ended. With eBay having removed the ability to leave negative feedback on “buyers”, flakes happen quite often. I have even opened a number of non payment cases against highly rated accounts that never pay/respond to my messages. Not everything is a shill.

So how come he re-listed it for the i think 3rd time? I doubt he wouldn't take appropriate measures the first two times if he's so well versed in eBay liquidation?
There are tools for both buyers and sellers to report and minimize trolling and shill bidding, it's just that i see several IG stories daily for a diver or some obscure watch and notice abnormal activities on item i had in my watch list for months or even years? If I sat on a "Fondo" or "NOS FIND" etc. of low grade low value watches I'd invest in a hype machine on IG and look at the € pour in, combine that with sniping bots and you have yourself a small fortune in the making...
