Keen observation. I imagine a watchmaker could remedy that without too much effort.

Nice little Wyler Heavy Duty listed by FourthStreetGoodies. Particularly like the clean dial layout and the case proportions on this one. Offers accepted so maybe a good deal can be had.

Just a quick PSA: I've been after a Wyler Heavy Duty for some time . . . until I had a chat with my watchmaker about it. He was very adamant that I stay away from them. Apparently, they use a proprietary system for the interface between bezel, crystal, and case that can cause all kinds of headaches. And if there's an issue, parts are nearly impossible to source.

The crystals are proprietary- it was part of their waterproof system with a lip that goes under the bezel. Crystals are indeed NLA, but pop up on eBay pretty regularly.
As for the drama your watchmaker is forecasting, I think it’s a bit melodramatic- he can’t get the parts from any of his suppliers, thus the watch is a lost cause to him. Not the case for many of us that are used to hunting down long NLA parts.

The price is now £650...and the quartz movement doesn't even work.
What is the bar sticking out the bottom left corner of the bottom endlink for? Is it some kind of quick release?

A cute little (admittedly very 1980s) ladies Raymond Weil tank for sale on the UK 'bay for 29 notes OBO. I don't think the dial is bent at all, though it looks like it thanks to the flash artefacts.

I'm rather tempted myself, but I've recently bought a S/H Tissot and some motorsport memorabilia. Ergo am a bit spent out... 😟

Rare (?) , SINN-watchCO 😁 project or invest: hughe and rare parts:

I am not the seller!!!

Holy Moly, who do we know in Germany that has room to store all of this?

Would be interested to know what they have. Maybe there's enough old stock to assemble an EZM 1 😁

Even if it's just smaller items, could be an interesting resale opportunity. In America, it's really tough to get Sinn parts without going through their one and only authorized seller (Watchbuys). Which is annoying - the movements are sometimes very common and easy to work on - but good luck getting a replacement chrono pusher.

I asked the lady today: no movements included. (What do you pay for a 7750? 700€?)
I've been thinking about working (me as an investor) with my watchmaker, but I can't store and he can't sell without a guarantee.
on top: The market is actually quiet....
Also: GUINAND has cool watches

OK @Fallout Boy prepare for a HUGE thread drift, with apologies!

Why, on a German website, does it say ‘News & Events’ in English? Also, why do French road signs say ‘Stop’ rather than Arretter (or whatever the correct translation is)?

Good looking watches by the way!

Killing the bearers of (( bad)) news was generally quite popular for a while... 😲 😁

Germans (and French) write often in English to pretend to be a superior professional. On the other hand, we deal with bad and slowly 60mph-drivers on Autobahn and streets from overseas 😁
