As promised. Gratuitous shot of watches which arrived today. NOS Benrus really is untouched inc hang tag and unused guarantee. Benrus 3051 date also mint. $25. And a Wyler which I used for parts to get the HD600 working again. Also $25.
Thanks again fellow forum members! and a shot of the superb lume on the Benrus.

I guess I'll come clean, I might have snagged this one 😗
Yay! Couldn’t have gone to a more deserving home. I have a feeling that thing is going to clean up beautifully and be a prize

I'd strongly considered bidding on that Bulova, even if I never got it working the case design and dial is worth something as a show piece. Also one might find a movement suited to it.
Only reason I didn't is I would probably only end up driving up the price making it a poor investment for a collector who would be willing to go all in on restoring this fine old watch to full glory.
If anyone here does get this old timer please let me know how it turns out, along with details of the movement. I'm sure it would show up on the Bulova thread sooner or later anyway.

I ran across another Benrus in non running condition. Which despite its round case was powered by the same BB4 movement used in my tonneau style. It only occurred to me later that I already have a complete running BB4 movement I picked up as a spare in case mine gave up the ghost. I also picked up a three pack of stems for these movements.
