OF bargain alert-
A stunning 1952 Longines from our own @MoclovFlop

I done did it. I was told it needs a crystal and crown, they are in good shape but not origjnal, so the hunt begins for something I have no clue about. Is it worth grabbing one of the free archive extracts from Longines?
Extract is free which makes it fun. Unlike Omega who sucks the fun out of everything. “Hey, look at this fun Snoopy watch- awww, none for you”

Super easy, barely an inconvenience! I asked the PO if he minded me using his lovely photos to submit for my extract and as he obliged, I quick sent off my request. Got an auto reply but according to the FAQ, it should take "2-3 weeks + shipping time." You know I'll post as soon as I get it.
In case you missed it…our own @vintage hab is offering this stellar stainless Longines at a very nice price. At 35mm with its slim bezel this one will wear like 36 or 37. It’s about as elegant and classic as they come. If it said Seamaster on the dial it would be thrice the price.

Yeah, I've been confused why that one has hung around so long. It's been a slow market, but things seem to have picked up very recently. Hopefully someone will give it a new home soon.

It still has it's original signed crown! 🥰 A bargain BIN price of $100 for this classic, all-original, steel-cased, hand-wind Tissot Seastar dating to the late 1950s:

Love the gold hardware on stainless case. Just enough color on the dial to pop. This is a nice price.

And it has a 27-series movement. The Tissot 27 caliber is excellent. Robust and reliable – a low-key classic.
