I have no idea about this brand but the watch is good looking - easy to see what inspired it. Unless it’s some kind of fake it looks like a nice cheap daily wearer.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Titoni-Airmaster-17-J-2-tone-Black-Dial-Manual-Wind-Gents-Watch/233850825304?hash=item3672986a58:g:4NYAAOSwGbFf72SV&LH_BIN=1&LH_ItemCondition=3000
Good looking piece, but I believe it's a redial, so just be aware! Seems to be common with these Titoni's

Makes sense, he’s actually got three of them up for auction.

Agree. I just looked at > 200 Airmasters on eBay. Many lollipop dial colors, but nothing remotely resembling that dial.

HI @Spruce

The 917p is 28 mm in diameter...

look at the caseback photo below and see the "large" gap between the edge of the movement and the inside of the case opening...

also look at the recessed crown ...

Look at the bracelet .... these are typically 16 mm wide and the width between the lugs looks to be 18 mm also a telltale that it is larger sized mido....

----

Plus I have this exact watch.... and its killer dial!!!!

and I just did a search ... even Hodinkee had one for sale ... ( sold ).

https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/1950s-mido-powerwind-multifort?variant=40593131471

Not to worry ... there will be others !!

Good Hunting

Bill
Thanks - and great detective work!

Hello everyone ....

I always like Mulco watches.... they made twin crown super compressors in std 36 and 42 mm sizes plus single crown super comproessor watches as well.... I always search for these....

here is one that needs to TLC....someone didnot have the correct case wrench and notched the caseback .... and maybe you put it on your watch list and the seller might offer a discount etc... 200-300$? I always like the Sword Fish on the dial !

Hi everyone....

I am partial to Sq cased waterproof deigned watches.... this mido case construction is really cool.... case presses together and the case sides slide in to postion to clamp the case half in place... I have been watching this one on ebay its been on multiple time with reserve and ended at 100$ or so ... now back up at 325 with no reserve... just interesting....

The $150.00 shipping fee won't help it sell 🤦

Cool watch, but I like to buy the seller. This one put "military" in the listing title--and never mentioned it again. I could be wrong, but I don't think this watch was ever connected with the military. That's called keyword spam, it's forbidden on eBay, and I don't deal with sellers who use it.

As an extreme example of keyword spam, here's a listing title from a year ago for a Honda motorcycle: "Honda motorcycle for sale Triumph Norton Harley BMW Ducati Suzuki."

On a side note, I once had an auction cancelled AFTER it was complete and the buyer paid me. It was because I was selling a Dynakit Mark IV amplifier which is a 35watt mono tube amp - exactly half of what a Dynakit ST-70 was. So I put "like ST-70" in the description. The auction ran and sold, the buyer paid me, and then Ebay in their infinite wisdom cancelled and deleted the auction. If I had wanted to just keep the buyers money I could have and they would have had no recourse because there was no longer an auction page. Truly ridiculous. I had a whole conversation with ebay support about it and they would do absolutely nothing about it and told me to relist it without the "like". I patiently explained that the buyer had already paid me - it was a done deal but I needed to be able to contact them. Nope, they wouldn't do anything about it. So I had to contact him through paypal to get his shipping address and I sent it off. The only silver lining was that because of what they did, Ebay never got any final value fees 😝 - it was several hundred dollars so they screwed themselves out of their payment.

What's funny about it overall is that I still text with the guy every so often, 4 years later.

I've had a similar thing happen when selling a vintage watch bracelet that was an original for a Hamilton and for a Gruen. But the bracelet was made by Kriesler.

Ebay canceled the listing because I had something like "Original for Hamilton X and Gruen Y" in the title. They said it was canceled because it wasn't made by them and I couldn't attribute it to those brands...

In hindsight it makes me wonder how listings like "Jb Champion NASA for Speedmaster" show up all the time.

I'm assuming someone reported my listing for some reason for "misleading" or something. 🤨

Great little Mido with a 24hr dial. Some dial edge issues but it’s around the perimeter where the crystal distorts anyway. This is one of the small ones at 28mm, but throw this on a Bonklip, pull-through or bund and you have a definitive WWII look.
