    WITTNAUER 2000
    INSTRUCTIONS

The center crown at 3 o’clock when pulled out is used to set the hands by turning the crown and setting the hands to the desired time.

The Push in pusher at 2 o’clock will advance the date one date at a time in the Date Window at 3 o’clock per each depression of the pusher.

The Day of the week in Day Window at 3 o’clock advances only the hands are rotated every 24 hours, or 2 full complete turns around the watch.

The crown at 4 o’clock does not pull out. When it is turned, it advances both the Day wheel between 11 – 1 o’clock, and the year wheel between 5 – 7 o’clock.
Since this watch was designed to show up to the year 2000, you simply need to know what prior years equate to present and future years as far as the days of the week being the same as the date of each month. The calendar as far as the same Day of the week for each date repeats itself. For Example:
Year 2020 is equal to the Prior Year 1992
Year 2021 is equal to the Prior Years 1971/1993
Year 2022 is equal to the Prior Years 1977/1994
Set the bottom Year at the Bottom of the Dial aligned with the Month at the bottom of the Dial to make the Calendar at the Top of the Dial correct for Day and Date for that month.

    Hi

Typically "Super comopressor"cases are 34 mm and up.....

I have seen compressor ( waterproof snapback , same tech as used in the Ranchero ) at 32 and 33 mm .... mire dress watch.

But .... that Aquastar is a deal...

    Good Hunting
    Bill

ps I have paid more for a lesser example of that watch....

    Beautiful dial !
But once again the medallion on the back is missing.

Slowly I have the feeling that somewhere in the world it is a means of payment .... ;)

@Bill Sohne these Longines are great. A couple of black All Guards went for ~$600 last year in the private sales forum. Beautiful watches, especially in black.

This one is exquisite. Condition, condition, condition! We shall see how high the auction goes.

Well I grabbed that for 60 euros. RESULT - this is for my wife so will garner me some credit....HOWEVER....I now see how Brexit will affect pricing in the future. Ebay levies tax at 20% of total for UK delivery. This included postage which was a whopping 30 euros....lesson learned. 60 euros turned into 108 euros very quickly. Still, the bracelet does look good and will find a home on something else of mine.

I believe all the logos were drilled out after the Japanese took control of company circa 1977 - they seem to be retained on the Brazilian ones so assume there was a split of the company or an agreed licence for the logo for South America.

Now you've got me hooked again, a super compressor watch is now on my wish list and I was so disciplined :(

This one caught my eye, relisted for the third time, this must be a sign or not !? :)

There seems to be never ending variations on these Wyler 660’s. You could probably spend a decade searching and still find models you haven’t seen before.
That said, I love these watches, but don’t know if I can embrace that one.
