Cool Benrus.
Dial looks like an Indian repaint. Never saw a Vintage American watch with such a loud color scheme.

"Item location:
MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, India"

Yep thought so.
The case is one commonly used for Indian "refurbs". The movement may or may not be a Benrus product, but the rest is probably faked.

My Benrus arrived today. Impeccable NOS condition and runs beautifully. Now just need to find an 18mm strap for it.

The hour hand was however rather awfully relumed.
Minute hand, but yes, that's all I would be able to see. Shame...everything else looks pretty nice though

We should start a thread as a roll call for those of us who own these....then they’ll be untouchable for under $500 within a month and dinky will run a piece on them.

Please don't...I'd like to pick one up before they hit a new high water mark!
@Ohmeguh nice snag! I hesitated too long on this one, so 'dibs' if you ever decide to part with it!

I have seen a couple in used condition from "popular" online sellers sell as high as $450 in 2017 but it seems like you can grab on average for $250-350 on Ebay. I feel fortunate the seller didn't know what he had. $150 is the price of a modern shitter nowadays.

Lol. You got it! I will even keep the original band on ice. I already have a couple military watches on olive green so I am switching it up for this one.

Mums the word- I’ll be on the lookout for you. I have already snagged 2, 3 times a charm.

Snappy looking chrome plated Vantage with a great looking dial- love the perfect little lume pips on sunburst dial and chrome outer track. Have we seen this one before?

Nice watch, very reminiscent of the underrated early '60s no-date Mido Ocean Stars.

I had two of those (long since traded away) fantastic watches and super sleek. The crystals are a pain as they are proprietary and has the lume pips on the inner retention ring so alignment was crucial- trying to seat it with a crystal lift was a pain as it would rotate ever so slightly when you would seat it and the pips would be off- so you would have to keep doing it and anticipate the shift.
