I know the dealer but I have no association with him or the watch. Just think it's neat, clean, and seems fairly priced for a gold Longines watch in that condition.

It is a pretty good price. If the dial were in slightly better condition I'd buy it.

Any experience with a recessed crown, hard to turn?

    Nice watch, and now sold.

Personally, I like either a lot of patina or none. The mark on by the six marker would drive me nuts.

Kinda like "The Red Dot" episode of Seinfeld.

Not that particular one. The crowns that don't have the top exposed (like the reference 2343) are much harder to deal with.

    Short drive...
    ;)
    Aw, c'mon I couldn't resist!
The mark at six is so inviting...looks like it would wipe off with a touch of Rodico. Then the next thing you know, it says SWISS MAD, you're missing a marker, and you're muttering choice expletives under your breath as you try to calm down...

Haha, not far off, I've been driving toward Nuts for a while, with a lead foot.

Rodico is great stuff in the hands of an expert. In my hands most watch repair tools are WWD ( weapons of watch destruction).
